What We Do

The National Council for Animal Protection (NCAP) is one of the older coalitions of animal protection organizations in the United States. The mission of the NCAP is to help its members achieve individual and collective goals to improve the treatment and status of all animals.

Key activities / functions of the NCAP are:

• Summit for the Animals – annual meeting of leaders of the movement
• Code of Ethics – to provide guidance to member organizations in their work
• Public opinion research – to assist members in understanding and communicating with the public
• Grassroots Leadership Award – to recognize outstanding advocates in the animal protection field
